How to Breed Your Axies?
Let’s take a look at the step-by-step process of breeding Axies and getting brand new offspring.
Step 1: Get Started With Axie Infinity
First things first, you need to get started with the game. In short, you’ll need to create a Ronin network wallet and transfer some tokens to this new address. This is so that you have enough funds to buy your first Axies.
Once you’re done, connect your wallet to your account and buy your Axies on the Axie Infinity Marketplace.
It’s important to point out that from the moment you choose your Axies, there are a whole number of factors that you need to consider.
Each character is an NFT and comes with unique features and skills that can change your in-game experience. So choose well!
You’ll also want to pay close attention to the Breed Count, the number of times the Axie has bred. Each of them can only breed seven times, and each time it gets more expensive.
When you’ve selected your first three Axies, you can download the game and get started. Link your in-game wallet to your email account, log in and use your Axies to play.
Keep in mind, players can also play the game without NFTs, but breeding only works when you have NFT Axies.
Step 2: Battle and Strengthen your Axies
Before you can breed and sell your Axies on the marketplace, you’ll want to do what the game is really about: play and have fun.

The more your Axies have bred, the more SLP the next breed will cost.
Besides SLP, each breeding also costs you some AXS (Axie Infinity Shards), the in-game governance token.

Now you have a strong sense of what the game is about and have your breeding goals set out, and it’s WooHoo time! Or breeding time for your chosen Axies.
All you need to do is:
- Visit Axie Marketplace
- Make sure your Ronin Wallet is connected
- Click on Dashboard
- Go to your Inventory
- Select an Axie, and then click Breed
- Now find your Axie a mate, and select it
- Pay the breeding fees
- And then Confirm

What Can I Do With My New Axies Offspring?
After breeding your Axies, you will find a small egg in your inventory. This egg will take five days to mature, and then you can morph it into an adult Axie. Only then will you find out your new Axie’s class and genes.
Depending on your game strategy, you can do many things with your new NFT. This is one of the best parts of blockchain games; you own your in-game assets.
This means you have the freedom to breed Axies to sell them, a practice that may or may not be profitable. You could also continue to participate in in-game battles, using your new Axie.
