Beginning with a June kickoff party at the beautiful 3DRetro campus in Glendale, CA, DesignerCon will have monthly drops leading up to DesignerCon UK (September 3–4, 2022) and DesignerCon Anaheim (November 18–20, 2022). Soey Milk
Soey Milk was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States at the age of eleven. Milk’s early path was leading her to become a ballerina, but after she was first introduced to painting, she immediately found a new passion to pursue. Still, some of the ballet dimensions remained, as she was still strongly drawn to human anatomy. This has become a cornerstone for the development of her photorealistic style.

Hueman
Allison Torneros, better known in art circles as “Hueman,” is a multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland, CA. Her distinctly gauzy art style is what she likes to call “etherealism,” a blend of ethereal realism. Whether she is creating delicate visions on canvas, augmenting reality through video projections and other digital media, or crushing massive walls with a spray can, she often draws on the human condition to create colorful mash-ups of the abstract and figurative. Her pieces explore themes of time, memory, trauma and healing, and her layered work can be seen on streets and in galleries worldwide. Hueman— Chrysalis
“Chrysalis” is one of five installation works created for Homebody, an award-winning, immersive show using video projection technology and AR that explores what might have happened to our collective and individual psyches over the course of a two year pandemic lockdown. Hueman believes that the walls of our homes acted as a chrysalis. With nowhere to go, we were forced to look inward and face ourselves, transforming ourselves from the inside out.
